The conference venue is the Wairakei Resort Taupo, located at State Highway 1 in Taupo. It is the largest international 4-star Resort in the North Island, sitting on 169 acres and the resort still enjoys a wonderful historic & relaxing atmosphere. An easy and scenic 3.5 hour drive from Auckland or 4.5 hour drive from Wellington, the resort is easily accessed in the middle of the North Island.

Travel

Taupo is an easy and scenic 3.5 hour drive from Auckland or 4.5 hour drive from Wellington, the resort is easily accessed in the middle of the North Island. Both Air New Zealand and Sounds Air fly into Taupo making air travel easy. If you can't find the right timing for your flight, consider Rotorua as well, which is a quick 45 minute drive from Taupo too.

 

Air New Zealand

AirNZ has recently upgraded their twice daily flights from Auckland to the larger planes, able to accommodate around 40-50 passengers per flight. Book your flight directly with Air New Zealand by visiting their site, www.airnewzealand.co.nz.

 

Sounds Air

A second options for flight travel is with Sounds Air. This Marlborough based carrier have direct flights from Wellington to Taupo and several other destinations throughout New Zealand. The planes are slightly smaller, but that direct flight option is well worth the trip. Seats are on offer at a fixed price of $219 per flight regardless of when booked.
