Social Options

During the day, we've got a full programme of inspirational keynote speakers, government speakers, subject experts and more. After the conference programme concludes for the day, we invite delegates to kick back and let loose during our evening social functions. 

President's Welcome - Thursday, 10th August

We kick things off with our President's Welcome, which will start around 6:00 or 7:00pm. This event is included in all registration packages except for the Day Delegate option. Enjoy a wine or two with passed canapes while the President, CEO and other invited VIP speakers make a brief welcome to all those who have joined us. Dress is Smart Casual and the event ends at 8:00pm.

 

Passport Dine-Around - Thursday, 10th August (not included in registration, tickets must be purchased to attend)

The passport dine-around will immediately follow the President's Welcome and only be available to those who have purchased this additional ticket. Beginning at 8:00pm, we will cycle small groups through four food and beverage stations. Each station will represent a different part of the world (hence needing a passport) and feature both food and drink from that area. 

Be whisked away to Europe, South America, Asia, before returning home to enjoy some Kiwiana treats. At each station, collect a "passport stamp" and by completing all four stations, you will go into the draw for a chance to win an amazing prize. 

 

"A Bogan's Ball" Icebreaker (Costume/Fancy Dress) Dinner - Friday, 11th August

The Icebreaker Dinner is one of the favourite social events of conference. Delegates get to dress up in costume/fancy dress to this year's theme "A Bogan's Ball" and party till the cows come home! So break out the cut-off denim or all black attire, slick up your hair or tease it up, showcase your favourite rock band t-shirt, and most importantly...don't forget your stubby holder!

The Bogan's Ball begins at 7:00pm and goes late, so start planning your costume and come prepared with prizes going for best costumes! This event is included in all registration packages except for the Day Delegate package.

 

Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner - Saturday, 12th August

Concluding conference, is the Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner. Starting at 6:00pm with welcome drinks before moving into the main presentation room for a three course meal, attendees and award recipients are encouraged to celebrate the amazing achievement of the consulting and engineering industry. Two programmes are celebrated in this one night: the INNOVATE (project) Awards and the ACENZ (people) Awards. 

This event is a night to celebrate the industry with both conference delegates and award winners, clients, stakeholders, and special guests. This event is included in all registration packages except for the Day Delegate package.
