Taupo can definitely hold its own as one of the best adventure destinations in the North Island. That's why we've given you a few hours on Saturday to explore the region and find a leisure activity that is right for you. From thrill seeking adventure junkies to those who want to relax and unwind in the natural thermal waters of the region. The options below have been negotiated to give ACENZ and conference delegates a discount or deal. There are plenty more options to choose from however, and can be found here.
This is the ONLY course in all of New Zealand which allows YOU to be behind the wheel as the driver. What an experience to actually have the opportunity to drive either a V8 or Formula Car around one of the best racing tracks in the country. We've arranged several options from a single, thrill induced "hotlap" where one of their staff gives you the ride of your life, a 6 lap or 8 lap option where YOU are the driver. Don't worry, you'll have expert track advice in your ear giving you all the tips and pointers to take that corner like a pro!

- V8 (1pm) or FC Single Seater Drives (2pm) - 6 laps for $340 or 10 laps for $440 per person (inclusive of GST) *
- Ultimate Experience – 8 laps in a single seater & 8 laps in a V8 for $640 per person (GST inclusive) *
- Hotlaps: $400 per person (GST inclusive) – a member of their staff driving you around in one flying hot lap in the V8 (3 people max per car)
*Includes: DVD and lap tuition, one session (or two if you selected Ultimate Experience) in the racecar selected, Podium Presentation (including certificate with lap times).

Jet Boats! Everyone loves em! Taupo has one of the most thrilling jet boat experiences in New Zealand, which whisks you up the Waikato River, narrowly missing trees, branches, rocks, and other heart pounding barriers. The journey is complete with the BEST view possible of the famous Huka Falls. The Falls which pour over 220,000 litres of water per second is a breathtaking experience for any local or tourist, but to be propelled right up to the base of the falls is extraordinary. Delegates can receive a 10% discount (valid only for August 10-13, 2017) when they let a staff know they are with the ACENZ conference.

Wairakei Terraces and Thermal Health Spa
Delegates receive special rates (valid 9-13 August): Pools $15.00 per adult, walk $5.00 per person, massages 5% off half hour massages, and 10% off one hour massages.
